Our Services

Executive Consulting

Customized service built around your needs and budget in areas such as Board or Organization Development/Evaluation, Meeting Facilitation, Strategic Planning, Change Management, Community Engagement, Policy Reviews, Conflict Resolution; Organizational Communications, and Corporate Retreats.

Rates: $75 per hour or $575 per day, plus tax. Travel costs as per provincial policy, and $15/hr of travel time. [Note: A detailed budget will be created with you in advance to incorporate all services needed.]

Grant Writing

Develop and write grant applications, prepare monitoring updates as required, evaluate success, and/or write a final report if needed. [Note: A detailed budget will be created with you in advance to incorporate all services needed.]

Rates: (a) $36 per hour for initial application, plus tax, with an additional $9 per hour only if the application is successful. [For example, if an application takes 30 hours, the fee charged is $1,080; if it is successful there will be an additional charge of $270, for a total of $1,350.] (b) Grant management and/or reporting at $45 per hour, with in-person meetings at $75 per hour. (c) Any necessary travel will be an additional cost and billed at provincial policy, and $15/hr of travel time if needed.]

HR Support

Executive support in a wide array of Human Resource activities such as Leadership Recruitment or Evaluation, Coaching, Workplace Reviews, HR Investigations, Mediation, Succession Planning, and Employee Engagement.

Rates: $75 per hour or $575 per day, plus tax. Travel costs as per provincial policy, and $15/hr of travel time. [Note: A detailed budget will be created with you in advance to incorporate all services needed.]

Organizational Review

Review organizational structure, processes, policies, and practices in order to provide a report with recommendations for any desired changes.

Rates: (a) $75 per hour for all in-person meetings; (c) $45 per hour for all document reviews, analyses, research and report writing. Travel expenses as per provincial policy, and $15/hr of travel time. [Note: A detailed budget will be created with you in advance to incorporate all services needed.]

Meeting Facilitation

Some large scale or sensitive meetings, like strategic planning or town halls, can benefit from having an external Facilitator set up a collaborative process to guide the group towards a specific outcome or goal. As a neutral party, the Facilitator can ensure full participation, keep the meeting on track, navigate potential obstacles, and manage conflict constructively.

Rates: Including all background planning, document preparation, meeting facilitation, Summary Report, and a Debriefing after the meeting: $795 for meetings up to 3 hours; $895 for 4-5 hour meetings; $995 for 6-8 hour meetings. Travel expenses as per provincial policy, and $15/hr of travel time.

Training Workshops

A number of 3-hour workshops are available: (1) The Science & Art of Time Management at Work; (2) The Theory & Practice of Effective Meetings; (3) Community Engagement in the Public Arena; (4) Budgeting for Non-Profit Boards; (5) Change Leadership during Chaotic Times; and a 6-hour workshop on Building Better Boards and Councils through Effective Governance;

Rates: $399 per workshop for 3-hour workshop and $795 for 6-hour workshop, plus tax, travel costs as per provincial policy, and $15/hr of travel time.

Keynote Speeches

Topic can be customized to client needs but could include topics such as:

  3. Lessons from the School of Life

  4. Ten Commandments for Effective Leadership

  5. Technology and AI: Friend or Foe?

Rates: $795 plus tax, and travel as per provincial policy, and $15/hr of travel time.

We are now taking fall and winter bookings for our most popular time management workshop - or combine it with 1 or 2 of the workshops listed earlier to create a one-day (6-hour) session!

The Science & Art of Time Management at Work (3 hours)

1. Identify time wasters, focus on priorities, and highlight positive habits for successful time management;

2. Increase understanding of strategies for dealing with distractions and managing negative practices that interfere with time management effectiveness;

3. Distinguish between what is important, what is urgent, and what can wait for later;

4.Learn how to apply time-saving strategies to enhance performance, control the workday, and achieve goals.

5. Create greater opportunity for success through a clear focus on goals and priorities;

6. Develop an effective way to say “No,” or delegate when necessary, and define expectations for what you can do;

7. Explore ways to streamline workflow and create a system that works for you and your workstyle;

8. Consider ways to use technology effectively as a tool in time management;

9. Achieve greater job satisfaction by managing work efficiently and effectively.

The cost for this one-day seminar option is $795 + tax, travel expenses as per provincial guidelines, and $15/hour of travel time.

Dr. David Rideout
Executive Consultant

David spent half of his career in Alberta and half in Newfoundland & Labrador. He has served as a Teacher, School Principal, Director (CEO) of Education, Superintendent (CEO) of Schools, and Director (CEO) of Child & Family Services. In addition, he has served as a sessional instructor at the University of Calgary and given workshops at local, provincial and national events.

David’s educational background includes three degrees (B.A., B.Ed., and M.Ed.) from Memorial University and a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree from the University of Toronto.
